Vihtavuori N560 Rifle Powder

Vihtavuori N560 rifle powder is especially suitable for bringing power to large and magnum calibers, including .270 Winchester, 6.5-284, 7 mm Remington Magnum, 7 mm Weatherby Magnum, and even the .416 Rigby. This rifle powder is also an excellent choice for handloading the .338 Lapua Magnum when using lighter bullets of 250 grains or less.

N560 is a tubular-type powder with fairly large grains measuring 14 mm in length and 12 mm in diameter. Its burn rate is slow on the Vihtavuori rifle powder scale, positioned between N160 and N165. Similar to the N100 series, N560 includes added nitroglycerine for improved energy content. The 500 series High Energy powders are designed primarily for rifle cartridges where extra energy is needed to achieve greater loading densities and higher muzzle velocities within maximum pressure limits.

This high-energy rifle powder can provide better velocity at the same pressure compared with powders such as N165. N560 is commonly used for big game hunting and sniper ammunition, particularly in larger-caliber rifles.
